760 NG is a special version of our sodium silicate based fibrous adhesive which is designed for use in nuclear applications where it is important to minimize the risk of stress corrosion of carbon steel, stainless steels, Inconels, or other sensitive alloys. 760 NG contains only minimal levels of chlorides, fluorides, oxidizable sulfur and other leachable contaminants which are potential causes of this corrosion, and it complies in full with NRC Reg. Guide 1.36 and MILDTL-24244D(SH).

760 NG has been fully tested by an independent laboratory and each production batch is tested for compliance with the appropriate standard/specification (test reports are available upon request).

760 NG is intended for high temperature applications up to 800˚F. It is most frequently used to bond calcium silicate insulation, but it can be used to bond any type of light to medium weight material of moderate density. It is not recommended for use with glass or mineral wool insulation without doing a test application first because its high pH may cause deterioration of some binders used in these types of insulations.

760 NG may be applied by brush or trowel (application method must be specified when ordering). For best results, both surfaces of the material involved should be coated with 760 NG and allowed to stand a minimum of two and a maximum of ten minutes prior to joining.

NOTE: 760 NG in the dry state is soluble in water and therefore is not suitable for outdoor application or application where it will be exposed to moisture unless it will be properly protected.
