WC-1 FR is a heavy-bodied, water-based, breathing type mastic coating which provides weather barrier protection, and mechanical abuse protection, over a variety of thermal insulation systems. It is designed for use in areas where protection against the spread of fire is also a significant concern.
WC-1 FR is a soft, smooth, heavy-build polyvinyl-acetate emulsion with specially selected fillers and fire resistive compounds. It can be applied by spray, palm, or trowel (method of application should be specified when ordering) and has a recommended thickness of 1/16” dry.
WC-1 FR CONTAINS NO ASBESTOS, LEAD, OR MERCURY COMPOUNDS.
WC-1 FR MUST BE PROTECTED FROM FREEZING DURING STORAGE.
During and after application, WC-1 FR must be protected from precipitation, freezing, oil, grease, and foot traffic UNTIL IT IS THOROUGHLY CURED.
At freezing temperatures, water base coatings function only as weather barrier protection and not as breathing coatings.
