WC-5 FR is a special version of our standard WC-5 weather barrier mastic which has been formulated to provide maximum resistance to flame spread. WC-5 FR should be used in hazardous areas where protection against the spread of fire is a significant concern.

WC-5 FR is a heavy-bodied, water-based, vinyl-acrylic, breathing type mastic coating which can be used over all types of thermal insulation to provide excellent protection against weather, other moisture sources, and mechanical damage.

WC-5 FR is also resistant to oil, grease, and mild alkalis. WC-5 FR has a recommended dried film thickness of 1/16th inch, and it can be applied by brush, spray, palm or trowel (method of applications should be specified when ordering).

WC-5 FR must be protected from freezing during storage. It must be protected during and after application, from precipitation, freezing, oil, grease, and foot traffic until thoroughly cured.
